FSTA Elite: Successful First Showings for All Three Teams

It is finally here! The outdoor season has finally begun! All three FSTA Elite teams started off their ERSL league games this past week with a bang and had successful showings while looking sharp in their new uniforms.

Last Tuesday, our U16 Girls Tier 1 team were on the road for their first game, competing against the Ottawa Internationals. After controlling the play for the majority of the game, the girls walked off the field with a solid 5-0 win.

Last Wednesday, our U14 Girls Tier 2 team and our U10 Boys Tier 2 team competed at home for their first games. The girls were nervous starting, playing against Russell, but were able to finish the game with a 5-0 win. The boys team came out and enjoyed a solid competition against St. Anthony's.

Last weekend our U14 and U16 girls teams also competed in the annual Icebreaker Tournament hosted by the Ottawa Internationals. Our U14 Girls had an outstanding tournament, despite the challenges they faced competing against L3 and Tier 1 teams in their group, they were competitive in every game. Our U16 girls also came out strong for the first tournament of the outdoor season and made a run all the way to the finals. They lost 1-0 to a tough West Ottawa Soccer L3 team, but put on a great show for everyone watching.

Job well done teams! Keep up the hard work. We can't wait to see where the season will take you next! Stay tuned for updates and be sure to check for our teams' schedules, stats, and standings throughout the season.
