In 2017, Frank’s Soccer Training Academy (FSTA) kicked off their first season for their outdoor Elite and FUNdamentals programs. This year will be the Academy’s third season running the outdoor programs, and they are looking to continue expanding and developing the programs for the future.
The Elite program is for children and youth aged 9-18 who are looking to develop their soccer capabilities in a fun, learning oriented environment. The Elite program has had multiple teams compete in the East Region Soccer League (ERSL) through their partnership with the Ottawa Futsal Club (OFC), including a team that reached the Regional level. The main goal for the Elite program was to provide local players with an opportunity to continue playing soccer at a high level as they get older, by developing players to be passionate and love the game. One example of this success, is this year’s FSTA Elite U18 Girls C1 team. Although there have been many players come in and out of this team since they joine...
We hope everyone has been enjoying their time away from the soccer fields this winter. At the same time, we are excited to announce that we will be running our FSTA Elite program once again for the upcoming outdoor season. We are also pleased to continue our partnership with the Ottawa Futsal Club (OFC) which allows us the opportunity to provide players in the community, and surrounding areas, to develop their soccer capabilities as much as they desire.
Our goal for the upcoming season is to offer additional age groups and levels for our players to compete at. This year our District Development and Youth Competitive Teams (Tier 1 and 2) will be competing in the EODL under the EOSDA. We are also looking forward to seeing our U18 Girls age group compete at the ERSL Regional level again this season, after facing some tough competition last year. Assessments for this group begin on February 5, 2019. Full schedule available here. There is no assessment fee...
WOW! Another outdoor season in the books! FSTA would like to thank all of the dedicated players, coaches and volunteers who helped to make this season successful.
Here are some notes from some of our coaches on their team's season!:
Frank (FSTA Elite U11B T2 & U12 T2): "The U11 and U12 teams did really well with the addition of a few new players to the Elite program. They had challenges, but were strong and subdued them. The level of individual improvement achieved is astronomical, and their teamwork and sportsmanship is unbelievable. These groups of talented, young players will go farther in soccer, no doubt. Incredible kids they are!"
Alain (FSTA Elite U14 T2): "What a great soccer season! We started with a group of players that had never played together and at the end of the season they became a 'Team'! The players increased their physical fitness and soccer skills by applying the strategies and technical plays learned throughout practices, games and tournaments. They played thei...

The team also competed in the Cumberland Snakebite Tournament at the end of June and finished third in their division with two wins and two losses. Well done team! We are looking forward to seeing what else you can accomplish over the second half of your season! The FSTA Elite U14 Tier 2 team plays their next game against the Kemptville Kougars @ South Gower Park tomorrow night with a 6:30pm kick off. Hope to see you out there!
